ELECTIONS IN ECUADOR

I have heard that living under Democracy is an expression of liberty, yes it could be or it could not…But living under Democracy shouldn’t mean two clear differences between rich and poor people, and talking about rich and poor ones is always the main topic of speeches during PROSELITISMO.

Elections happened today in Ecuador. Since I had the opportunity of voting I always thought that mine could make the difference, but I don’t think in this way now. And it happens since Abdala Bucaram was elected the president of Ecuador, he was playing to be the president of a country with the costume of a clown. Poor guy, he couldn’t finish his presidency last and then we had to continue with Jamil Mahuad. For being honest, I prefer the first guy than the second one. Jamil Mahuad stole our savings from the bank. Ah!!!! Our Sucre currency was changed instead of dollar.

Many people, absolutely many people: retired old men and old women, fathers, mothers, even young people, all of them lost their savings and believe me: NO ONE has given them back….is it fair?

The number three: General Lucio Gutierrez, another liar who couldn’t finish his presidency time because people ruined his time. Corruption and lies have been here for many years and I am sure that elections weren’t a national festival for any body.
After talking with friends, none of them have been sure about who could be the best option. In fact, I don’t see options anywhere. But we have to fulfill with this duty.

The options that we had were: a wealthy guy who pretends to be God, this guy gives speeches in front of thousands of people with a bible in his right hand. He has promised to transform poor people in class media guys.
The second one is a “handsome” man who is griming all the time and he dreams with Bolivar. He is sure that our country will become in a Bolivarian reality some day. This candidate shares his ideas with Hugo Chavez (president of Venezuela) and Evo Morales (president of Bolivia), he still thinks this world can be changed in a new transformation of communist Cuba.

We are still waiting for the “good news”. Which candidate could be better? I don’t know, but I am really afraid.

Don't worrying Mrs. Paula…
There are some people who believe equality or opportunities can not be considered as a law of nature… there is no equality in nature … her ruling law is that of submission and reliance … such people tend to think that it would be impossible to make the community of an equal level…
good luck in this candidacy..
