The great adventure of being on Galápagos

(Thinking, feeling and writing like a 10-year-old girl)

I am Ecuadorian and one of my dreams is to visit Switzerland some day. I always say to my parents: “I would like to visit, study and live in Switzerland” and my mom always asks: “Why?”..and my answer is: “Because it looks like a magic place”.

My wish hasn’t changed, but the idea of a magic place it has really changed absolutely.
The last October 18th, my grandma invited me to visit Galapagos Island. We went with friends and my cousin Rachel. It is really a magic place.

Galapagos is a group of 13 islands and 42 small islands. We stayed at San Cristobal Island for 7 days. These islands were formed by volcanoes eruptions.

The weather is sometimes cold and humid and others are hot. It was the time that we could enjoy on the beach.

There is an interesting wild life. The first day that we arrived on San Cristobal, we had the opportunity to see a seal when it was having its baby…it was so cute!!!! I understood how many things you can learn from animals and nature.

I made new friends, we played in the park and the beach for many hours, we really enjoyed that time together.

I hope someday I can return Galapagos with more relatives and friends and I want to invite other friends from other countries and cultures, to our Ecuadorian Galapagos Islands.
